Walden Capital are excited to announce that in partnership with moneyinfo, a leading portal provider, that today we are launching the Walden Capital app, bringing communication with your financial adviser firmly into the 21^st century.

The Walden Capital app is available through a web or tablet portal but is primarily designed with the mobile phone interface in mind, meaning that secure communication, current plan values, and a secure document store for all your important financial matters can stay with you at all times.

We’re very excited at the capabilities this will bring – and we’re rolling it out to new and existing clients as we see them, or sooner as clients request it.

With social engineering being the primary route for hacking attempts, and phishing (the process of trying to obtain security credentials through email or other messaging services) becoming more and more common, it is increasingly clear that email, whilst ubiquitous, is no longer as secure as it needs to be for long term financial communications.

At Walden Capital we find that our emails to clients, and theirs to us are sometimes caught by spam filters, simply because financial promotions are one of the most common types of scams. By creating a secure communication tunnel with our clients, you can be sure that our communications with you are secure, and equally important, do get through.

In addition to secure communications, the Walden Capital app provides a document store, secured by your biometric ID (provided your phone supports fingerprint or facial security), allowing you to store digital representations of your car or home insurances, personal protection policies, even your passport, driving licence, or ID cards.

You can add in your stocks and investment plans, even those we don’t have an electronic valuation feed for, and with the aid of third party pricing services these will stay up to date, giving you an overview of your progress towards your goals, and talking of goals, your latest cashflow forecast and advice reports are always available for you to check back on if you’re feeling worried, or just want to check where you’ve got to.

We know that a phone app won’t make the difference between you having a financial plan, or not, and certainly won’t change how the markets perform – but more direct communication, better security, and greater availability of your data and adviser will make a difference, and Walden Capital is very excited to be part of this revolution!
