Blooming tea flowers to the rescue!Summer is just around the corner. Beat the heat; quench your thirst with these healthy low calorie recipes that will be a hit at your next afternoon tea party. The best part? They’re perfect for maintaining your weight loss goals too. Blooming tea flowers is an awesome metabolism-booster, packed with powerful antioxidants that helps to burn fat. So, here’s how to make healthy iced green tea:
1. Minty Iced Green Tea
Servings: 4Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- 3-4 blooming tea flowers (green tea)
- Honey or agave, fresh lavender leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Place mint leaves in a large glass pitcher.
- Crush gently with clean hands. Add blooming tea flowers and pour hot water over top, leaving a few inches of room.
- Cover and refrigerate for 4-6 hours.
- Remove blooming tea flowers.
- Serve over ice.
- Add honey or Stevia to sweeten and a few fresh lavender leaves.

2. Citrus Mint Iced Tea
Servings: 6Ingredients
- 6 blooming tea flowers
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
- 3 oranges
- 2-3 lemons
- 3 limes
- 6 cups boiling water
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 handful ice cubes
Instructions
- In large measuring cup or teapot, place tea bags, mint leaves and orange, lemon and lime slices.
- Cover with boiling water and steep for 10 minutes.
- Strain into large pitcher.
- Add honey or Stevia to sweeten. Stir until dissolved.
- Serve over ice.

3. Iced Peach Green Tea
Ingredients
- 6 blooming tea flowers
- 3 peaches sliced, fresh or canned
- Add honey or Stevia to sweeten
- 6 cups water
Instructions
- Add sliced peaches to a pot with water. Bring to a boil, and use a wooden spoon to mash the peaches.
- Add honey or Stevia and allow to dissolve.
- Simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and steep green tea bags for an additional 5 minutes.
- Strain the liquid.
- Allow to cool before refrigerating.
- Once chilled, serve over ice.
- Optional: Garnish each glass with a sprig of mint.

4. Iced Lavender Green Tea
Serving: 4Ingredients
- 4 Blooming tea flowers
- 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh lavender blossoms or 3/4 tsp. dried lavender
- Lavender sprigs (optional)
Instructions
- Heat 1 qt. water in a medium saucepan until it just begins to simmer.
- Remove from heat and add tea and lavender.
- Steep for 5 - 10 minutes.
- Strain into a heatproof pitcher or bowl.
- Let cool.
- Add honey or Stevia and allow to dissolve.
- Pour into ice-filled glasses and garnish with lavender sprigs if you like.
5. Iced Rose Green Tea
Serving: 4Ingredients
- 2 Blooming tea flowers
- 1 tablespoon dried rose petals
- 1 tablespoon whole coriander seeds (optional)
- 4 cups of filtered water
Instructions
- Place the green tea, rose petals, and coriander in a pitcher.
- Bring 1/2 cup water not quite to a boil.
- Pour it over the blooming tea flowers.
- Wait ten seconds, and then add the remaining 3 1/2 cups water. Refrigerate until the tea is a strength you like — typically 4 - 8 hours.
- Strain and serve over ice.
